Every summer Orange Community of Christ hosts a week-long, free Peace Camp for kids in our community. We use the principles of The Children's Peace Pavilion, an experiential Peace Museum at Community of Christ's headquarters in Independence, MO. One of Community of Christ's Mission Initiatives is Pursue Peace on Earth, making this camp a natural extension of our identity as a movement. Primary concepts include Peace for Me, Peace for Us, Peace for Everyone, and Peace for the Planet. We teach and experience peace-making through games, music, crafts, lessons, and interactive activities.
We are excited to announce an extension of our Peace Camp, our new bi-monthly Peace Club. We will meet every other month on the first Saturday. Following the model of Peace Camp, this experience will be free and include games, music, crafts, snacks, and interactive learning activities that model peace-making in our neighborhoods and communities. For more information, contact Daniel Harmon, Orange Associate Pastor. Click here for upcoming Peace Club dates, and to see our 2017 Peace Camp video.
If planning to attend Peace Club, it's helpful to fill out the Enrollment Form ahead of time to ensure that you have all needed information and are prepared to send your kids to Peace Club. Also be sure to check back on this page for date changes.
