Every summer Orange Community of Christ hosts a week-long, free Peace Camp for kids in our community. We use the principles of The Children's Peace Pavilion, an experiential Peace Museum at Community of Christ's headquarters in Independence, MO. One of Community of Christ's Mission Initiatives is Pursue Peace on Earth, making this camp a natural extension of our identity as a movement. Primary concepts include Peace for Me, Peace for Us, Peace for Everyone, and Peace for the Planet. We teach and experience peace-making through games, music, crafts, lessons, and interactive activities.

This year’s Peace Camp dates are August 5-9, and we will be exploring the theme, “Belong.” Each night camp will take place from 5:45-8:00 PM, and on Friday, August 9, we will have a Peace Camp Dinner that will reflect on the week, show a Peace Camp video, and offer an opportunity for neighbors to be in relationship with one another. We hope you can join us for this awesome week!
